Commercial post-war production 1917 double action revolver chambered in .45 Automatic, circa 1932. Produced by Colt during The Great Depression as an economic revolver, utilizing overrun army parts. Approximately only 1,000 revolvers where made in this short run. Features a blued finish, 5.5" tapered barrel, blade front sight, 'u' notched rear sight, fluted six-shot cylinder, smooth trigger, checkered hammer spur, non-shrouded ejector rod, square style cylinder release and two-piece Colt medallion checkered walnut grips. Includes a period hang-tag & factory black cardboard box with handwritten number matching that of the gun written on the underside in pencil. Revolver retains approximately 97%+ original finish showing only very light handling wear and a couple small dings on the front sight. Action is smooth, bore is pristine and wood grips are near fine with a few small losses to the bottom of the left panel. Condition is near new in box. ***C&R Firearm*** ***Modern Firearm***
