Colt 1911 Prototype w/Tansley loaded Chamber Indicator Device. No serial #, 45acp, mfg:1912. Finished in the White. Colt M1911 Factory Prototype with Experimental Slide Mounted Loaded Chamber Indicator, Springloaded Locked Takedown Lever, modified barrel, extended lightened hammer and oversize grip safety, excellent Checkered Diamond Grips, with proper Early First Model "in the white" magazine. Right of slide ismarked "TANSLEY'S INDICATOR MAR 4TH 1912". No other markings or proofs. The loaded Chamber indicator was developed at the request of the U.S.Army during trials. Mr. George H.
