Double action revolver manufactured circa 1901. Features blued finish, smooth walnut grips, 6" barrel, 6 shot fluted cylinder, lanyard swivel on butt. Bore and charge holes are very good condition. Retains 75% finish, with edge losses, cleaned patina spots on right side of frame, thinning and graying on backstrap, thin light patina on barrel. Hammer and trigger show much bright nitre blue color, with bright polished hammer sides showing some light patina formation. Small dent to left side of muzzle on outer edge. Wood grips are good or better condition with some scuffing and scraping visible, "RAC" stamp in bottom of right grip panel, lightly stamped on left side of frame. Last 4 digits of serial number stamped on cylinder latch, yoke, inside frame. Action is smooth with tight lock-up. Included factory letter indicates shipment to Commanding Officer at Springfield Armory in Dec 1901. Condition is NRA Very Good *** C&R Firearm *** [From the Jim Sigmon Collection]
