Colt 1861 Navy revolver, .36 caliber percussion, blue and case hardened finish, military style unvarnished wood grips, serial #7112. In original to the period velveteen-line partition style oak case with accessories. The revolver remains in very good original condition with 30-50% original blue on barrel which is military type with some scattered light to moderate erosion, some slightly or heavier pitting at forward 3” on left side toward the muzzle. The barrel address is good and sharp, there is some very good blue. The cylinder shows 20-30% original light cylinder scene with engagement dates legible on edge. The cylinder has gone to a light grey to brown patina with scattered light to moderate surface pitting and some feint traces of blue. The frame shows 20-30% case hardening within a silvery grey to brown patina with some rainbow colors faintly visible. The hammer shows 10-20% case hardening. The loading lever shows 30-50% case hardening. The military type wood grips show an “L” inspector’s type mark on the bottom of the right grip, but no final cartouche. Grips are fine to near excellent with a couple of nicks at the edges, small losses, near excellent overall with impeccable fit. Al
