SN 168657 with excellent provenance to only four owners since William F. Cody, the backstrap engraved "TO WFC THE-SCOUT". finished in nickel with ivory grips the pistol remains in fine condition with approx. 75% finish remaining, most loss evident at muzzle end and wedge areas on left and right side of barrel. Cylinder scene very good with light spots of flaking, barrel address stampings and engraving to back strap crisp, all matching serial numbers including wedge. Ivory grips display great condition and patina, no cracks or repairs. All provenance accompanies the revolver including appraisal by R.L. Wilson and is as follows" Buffalo Bill Cody to adopted son Johnny Baker to S.R.Randolph for display at Randolphs Museum at Lookout Mountain Colorado to current consignor.
