Colt 1860 Army revolver, early Civil War are, 4-screw variation, traces of blue and case hardening. Cartouched wood grips, serial #23095. The barrel and cylinder show just traces of original blue drifting to brown with some light erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. Some nicks in the area of the wedge port, but generally sharp metal surfaces with a crisp address. The cylinder shows 50-60% scene, clear engagement dates and patent dates and a faint trace of blue going to patina. The frame shows 20-40% case hardening drifting to patina with some strong and bright colors on the right side. The hammer and lever show generous traces of case hardening. The action is crisp and the cylinder retains all its pins. The grips are good with many small storage type marks, a couple of small losses, and a visible outline of cartouche on left grip. The instrap is punch-dot inscribed during the 19th century with the name Harry Bollinger. All matching visible serial numbers, tight action, bright and near mint bore. From the Bernard Braverman Estate. Est: $1,500 - $3,000
