Colt 1860 Army Richards Conversion, .44 centerfire caliber, nickel finish, varnish wood grips, serial #189994. The revolver remains in good to very good condition showing 50-70% nickel on barrel, 20% nickel on frame, mostly drifted onright side of frame and cylinder. Backstrap and trigger guard show traces of nickel. The cylinder shows 60-70% cylinder scene with engagement dates mostly visible on the edge. Areas where nickel has lifted or peeled have gone to a dark patina witsome light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting on these areas and the heavier pitting on the front of the cylinder, but nothing major. The varnish wood grips are very good, with 75-85% varnish, some minor dings, mars, scratches, andlosses at the edges. The front sight has been trimmed slightly. The markings are sharp, the action crisp, the interior very good. The stampings are irregular but original with the barrel being 189994, the "4" stamped twice. Theframe 189994, the trigger guard 199294, the backstrap 199294, and the cylinder 9994.
