Colt Model 1860 Army Percussion Revolver, #27416, .41 ball cal., 8'' barrel, blue and case hardened finish, iron backstrap, U.S. marked brass triggerguard, with faintly cartouched one-piece walnut grips. Cylinder with no scene or serial number. Barrel assembly #26828 with ''CG'' inspection marks. Assembled in the late 1860s for Cavalry used prior to the introduction of the Colt Single Action. A scarce and seldom seen early Indian Wars sidearm. Condition is about fine as assembled. Barrel assembly retains approx. 40%-50% thinning and toning finish. Cylinder with 80% original blue with minor losses and dark toning. Four-screw frame retains approx. 30%-40% thinning and graying case colors. Grips with light dings and scuffs, which may have been mildly sanded at time of refurbishment. Action remains crisp, bore is fine. Est.: $2,000-$3,000. (Antique)
