Manufactured in 1859. The top barrel flat is marked with the pointing finger, "COLT'S PT. / 1855" flanked by Maltese crosses and "ADDRESS COL. COLT / HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A." flanked by Maltese crosses. The cylinder is roll engraved with the cabin and Indian scene and the matching serial number is marked on the butt and cylinder. Blue finish with casehardened hammer and loading lever, and fitted with a smooth varnished one piece nicely grained walnut grip.

Condition: Fine. The revolver retains 50% plus bright original high polish blue finish (mostly on the left side) with the balance a smooth gray patina with some areas having been cleaned and some scattered minor pitting and spotting. The hammer and loading lever retain 30% original case colors. The cylinder retains most of the roll engraved scene. The grip is very fine with almost all of the varnish remaining and some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
