Colt 1851 Navy revolver US martially marked, remaining in good to very good condition with some original finish, serial number 77378. The barrel shows 20% to 30% original blue evenly drifting to a natural patina with asharp barrel address and wear at the muzzle from being carried a long way in a leather holster. The cylinder shows 60% to 80% original cylinder scene with visible engagement dates and traces of original blue. The frame, hammer, and loading lever show generous traces of case hardening within their patina. There was some light cleaning on the left side of the frame long ago. There is some scattered light to moderate erosionand pinprick pitting. The grips are good to very good with small losses at the toes, wear at the age edges, minor marks and normal aging. There are good outlines and evidence of cartouches on each grip. The bottom of the grips show some marks from tack hammering. The frame is clearly US marked and the pistol shows A & C inspection marks. The left grip cartouche is O.W.A. (Ainsworth). The action is good and tight with all matching visible
