Colt 1851 Navy revolver, .36 caliber percussion, blue and case hardened finish, varnish wood grips, 4th model, with capping groove in frame, serial #175526. The barrel shows 30-50% evenly drifting and toning bluefinish, good sharp edges, good barrel address, some loss of finish on right side and wear at the muzzle from being carried in a left-hand holster. The barrel address is sharp. The cylinder retains 60-80% scene with natural aging, traces of blue on backs of cylinder, and just beginning pinprick pitting. The frame, hammer, and loading lever show 30-50% case hardening drifting to patina with some good colorful areas stillshowing. The straps show traces of darkened silver plate. The varnish wood grips are good to very good with 30-50% varnish, some small losses, minor chips and imperfections. All matching visible serial numbers. Tightaction, crisp interior, and beautiful blue and case hardening beneath loading lever. Est: $1,500 - $3,000
