Colt 1851 Navy revolver 36 cal percussion, fully and finely Gustav Young deluxe engraved with ivory grips accompanied by high quality incise carved holster and belt with Military buckle and brass engraved spurs of officersquality. The inside of the belt shows an old silk tag upon which is written in ink "this belt, holster and spur(sic) all belonged to General J Ketcham, U.S.A." The Navy is numbered 31664 and shows extra deluxe youngscroll engraving with profuse scrolls, dog heads, cobwebs and Colts patent hand cut in banner at center of frame. The Colt shows British proofs on barrel and cylinder. The metal surfaces show a brown patina finishwith strong traces of blue and case hardening mixed in. There is some minor erosion and pinprick pitting but edges and markings still fairly sharp. The cylinder shows 50-60% cylinder scene with Ornsby signature lightlyvisible. The backstrap and trigger guard show 60-70% darkened original silver plate. All matching visible serial numbers. The grips show a good patina and have shrunk lightly with some age cracks. The holster
