Colt 1851 Navy .36 caliber percussion revolver, small guard variation, serial #11949. The pistol remains in fair to good original condition showing a grayish to brown patina finish, some scattered light to moderate scattered erosion and pinprick pitting and a couple of small areas of slightly heavier pitting. The cylinder shows some cleaning, slight traces of scene, some bumps and mars, and old replaced nipples and safeties. The barrel address is good, the small Colt’s patent is mostly visible. The straps show 50-60% silver. The backstrap is marked with small hand stamp “CMD”. The varnish wood grips are good to very good with 75% varnish, some mars, one or two gouges. At least good overall. All matching visible serial numbers. Some mars around the trigger screw area on left side of frame and one or two replaced screws. An early gold-rush era 51 navy. From the Bernard Braverman Estate. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
