Colt 1849 pocket model, .31 caliber percussion, 6” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, varnish wood grips, small guard variation. Serial #94162. All matching serial numbers. The pocket shows a two-line New York address, 5-shot. Approx 40-60% original blue on barrel, evenly thinning and toning with good edges. The cylinder shows 80-90% original cylinder scene with light cleaning to grey long ago. The frame and hammer show 30-50% thinning and toning case hardening with light rainbow colors still evident. The backstrap and trigger guard show 60-80% darkened original silver plate. The varnish wood grips are very good plus with 75-85% varnish, slight wear at the edges and bottoms, minor scratches. All matching visible serial numbers. Good action, fine bore. Est: $900 - $1,800
