Colt 1849 pocket model, .31 caliber percussion, 5” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, varnish wood grips, two-line New York address, 5-shot cylinder, serial # 170621. The revolver remains in fine to excellent original condition showing 95% plus bright original blue on barrel, some slight discolorations, and small scratches beginning areas of light aging, some minor areas of drifting. The cylinder shows 90-95% bright original blue matching to the barrel with nearly all the cylinder scene, some just slight losses and minor wear at the edges and a couple of scratches. The frame shows 90-95% bright case hardening with some slight drifting at the edges, some silvering, but also some very vivid and bright colors. The hammer shows 50-70% case hardening also with some vivid areas, the loading lever shows 90-95% fiery case hardening. The backstrap and trigger guard show 90-95% original thick silver plate that has dulled slightly. The varnish wood grips are fine to near excellent with 90-95% varnish, a couple of minor marks, some slight wear at the edges, but crisp and near excellent overall.
