Colt 1849 pocket model, .31 caliber percussion, 5” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, varnish wood grips, serial #278120. The pistol shows one-line New York address, 6-shot cylinder. The barrel shows 40-60% evenly thinning and toning blue finish with some light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting just starting and some nicks on the edges of the barrel. The cylinder shows 40-60% light original cylinder scene. Cylinder shows some erosion, normal aging. The frame, hammer, and lever, show 10-20% case hardening drifting to silvery grey with some light colors. The varnish wood grips are good to very good, 50-60% varnish, some losses at the edges, minor dings, mars, etc. All matching serial numbers, good action, good bore, good overall with bright blue beneath the lever on the bottom side of the barrel.
