Colt 1849 pocket model, .31 caliber percussion, 4” barrel, 5-shot, two-line New York address, small guard, serial #83736. This Gold-Rush era 49 remains in fair to good original condition showing a light grey patina with some scattered light to slightly heavy pitting. Heavier pitting occurring on the right side of barrel lug. There are some dings and mars on the top of the barrel. The address is partially visible. The cylinder shows 30-50% scene, the patent mark on the frame is good. The grips are good with normal aging, minor imperfections. All matching visible serial numbers. With letter from authors of Pocket Model book, indicating this pistol was included with their survey. Est: $600 - $1,200
