Colt 1849 Pocket Model London series in its original to the period oak case with 4” barrel serial number 3813. This .31 caliber percussion Colt shows London barrel address with iron trigger guard. Approximately 70% to 80% original blue and case hardening remains with good sharp edges and markings. There is some light erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. 80% to 90% original cylinder scene remains with some scratching on thecylinder. The case hardening shows some darkening but still has mostly colorful areas. The backstrap and trigger guard show considerable original blue. The varnished wood grips show 90% to 95% varnish. Thebottom of the right grip is stamped 923 and 73C which may be a registration or collection number. All matching visible serial numbers. The action is cocking but the cylinder does not revolve. The lining has been removed from the lid of the case. The bottom of the case remains in good condition but is missing its compartment cover. The case is for a 5” barrel but 4” barrels were often sold in the 5” case. A Dixon patent bag flask is included
