Colt #1, .41 caliber derringer, in very good to near fine original condition retaining generous original nickel finish, case hardened hammer, blued trigger and small parts. Serial number “3886”. The barrel shows approx. 80-90% original nickel evenly aging with some slight erosion, pinprick pitting, and natural drifting of the nickel finish. The frame shows 20-30% original silver plate which has peeled and drifted, the areas where the finish is lost show an uncleaned patina. The small parts and screws show a bright original fire blue, the hammer shows 70-80% bright case hardening, the release button, top of the hammer, and sheet metal extractor are all original dimensions and crisp. The barrel address is ultra sharp, the front sight is retained. The interior is very good plus and the lock is tight. A crisp and completely original #1 that has seen no cleaning whatsoever.
