Included in this lot for bidding is a hand crafted, custom saddle, out of Colorado Saddlery, located in Denver, CO. Colorado Saddlery was formed in 1945 by four young saddlemakers in Denver. The four men had been working for the world famous, Denver based HH Heiser Saddle Company. This saddle shows the trademark quality of a Heiser saddle, showing exceptional basket weave tooling, silver colored star conchos, and an incredible sturdy construction. Additionally, the saddle uses an undercut swell fork, and a low seat back, with a drastic Cheyenne roll. The saddle is marked with the saddlery's hallmark on the fenders, on the seat rise, and on the skirt - behind the cantle, reading "Colorado - Denver Saddlery". The latigo keeper is additionally marked "71 0-36". This saddle is provided to us from the late Bud Chapman, renowned Western collector, out of Bozeman, Montana. The saddle shows good condition overall, with rich hydrated leather. The saddle uses a 15" seat.
