Description: Laid paper. Serial No. 1910. Signed by Bowler, Cole, in red, and Clarke. Printed by John Carter. Two-Sided. 69mm by 105mm. Called “Another stunning Rhode Island note” by the Ford cataloger, who was in a position to know. We could not agree more. The note sports lovely bright paper, well-inked and hardly faded vignettes and text, and the overall in-hand appearance of a finer grade. An old paper border was removed from the back of the note after its appearance in the Ford Collection -- losing a bit of old-timey collector information along the way -- but the physical and aesthetic integrity of the note are still sound and unquestionable. Destined to be a highlight in any colonial note cabinet, specialized or otherwise.
