Issued by: Cahim May, I.P. for the Seigniory of St. Armand. A 23 lines document written by hand, attesting to the unwillingness of a local person to taking an Oath of Allegiance to the Crown. This is a one page brown parchment document (16 inches x 12.5 inches) folded once to 8 inches x 12.5 inches. On the outer page, it is titled and the seal is missing. The inner page has the content of the letter which has mirrored script due to folding while the ink was wet. The document was then folded 5 times and sealed. When opened, the seal and parchment were torn away. There are no water marks on the parchment, but it does have a tear of 1-3/4 inches on one of the panels. Estimated value: $250.00
