Colonial Document, Issued: August 12, 1773, Certified true copy of a report made in 1770. issued by: Jacques Robidou (son of Fracois Robidou) Captain of Militia for the district of Quinchien, Seigneurie of Vaudreuil. 2 pages document (310 mm. x 370 mm) attesting to the names of people who had not compiled with the laws of the land and their properties being reverted back to the Seigneur. This is in compliance to the 1762 order issued by Thomas Gage, Marshal of the Fields and Armies of the King (George III) for North America and the Governor of Montreal. The document is folded 3 times and has the watermark of Great Britain and Crown and cipher of George III. There is a stain on page 1 but no holes, no rips or tears. Extremely rare document showing the development of the infrastructure for land regulation and many habitants' family names of the Vaudreuil area. Estimated value: $!,000.00
