Fr. RI-226. A quality example of this rare January 1776 issue, very clean and pleasing having sharply printed black text. There is a deft small sealed split at left. The red and brown ink signatures include; John G. Wanton, John Cole and James Congdon III. The serial number 4292 remains clear and easily readable. This well centered, clean note is among the finest examples known, being far superior in quality that the finest graded by PMG as VF-25. This is a very rare note, specially in this Extremely Fine-40 quality.
