Exceedingly Rare November 5, 1792 New York “City of Hudson” One Penny Note PMG Graded Very Fine-25

New York. November 5, 1792. One Penny. “City of Hudson.” PMG graded Very Fine-25.

This extraordinary rarity and high quality circulated specimen has four full margins and clear black printed text. The paper remains very clean and attractive for the grade having a light centerfold with minor deft split repairs noted. This is the single Finest quality note of any denomination from this exceedingly rare City of Hudson issue so certified and it is certainly finer in quality than the Newman plate example for this issue, as found on page 303 of the 5th edition of “The Early Paper Money of America.” Certainly, less than a handful of notes from this entire issue are known. This impressive note is the Sole and Finest PMG Certified known.
