Fr. NC-155. The Finest quality PMG certified example of this rare “Sea Urchin” vignette, major listed type we have offered. This high quality note is very clean, well centered, and is very sharply printed. The border designs are full, the text and the “Sea Urchin” vignette perfectly detailed. The reverse is clean and free from any period notations. This extremely rare 1776 Revolutionary War denomination and variety is extremely difficult to locate. The holder with net grading comments of split repair, closed pinholes, due to one tiny deft sealed split at the top centerfold. Rich brown ink serial number and signature by William Williams. An impressive note that is missing in most North Carolina and Colonial Currency collections for this popular 1776 issue series. Very Rare. Ex: John J.
