Bold Signed 1764 Benjamin Franklin Printed Colonial Note
Province of Pennsylvania. June 18, 1764. Twenty Shillings. Plate B. “Printed by B. FRANKLIN” Issue. Choice Very Fine.
Fr. PA-126. A well printed, clean appearing example of this 1764 dated French and Indian War era Pennsylvania Colonial Ben Franklin note. It has nicer than average centering on both its face and back, and is printed upon clean fairly crisp period paper. All three signatures remain quite bold in rich brown ink and are easily readable. Deft invisible centerfold sealed edge splits and has some light conservation including at “To Counterfeit is DEATH”. The reverse side is very boldly printed and richly inked such that “Printed by B. FRANKLIN” is sharp. A Franklin printed note that is excellent for display.
