A rather remarkable indictment which reads in part, “<I>herewith we send yw inclosed the Copy of John Loughry's Deposition, against James Foster, John Mason (who are now at Pittsburgh in the Battoe sic Service) William George, & the Boys or Sons of Arthur Foster; for the murder of four Indians, near this Town…As loughry had no Bail for his appearance, at Court to prosecute, & for his personal safety, we have confin'd him in Prison: and further as his Evidence is only Hear Say…we request Your Answer and Advice…</B></I>” Brown toning, small split in left margin.
