<B>Colonel John S. Mosby Autograph Letter Signed</B></I> "<I>Jno. S. Mosby.</B></I>" Three pages, 5.25" x 6.75", The Garde, Hartford, Connecticut, December 11, 1910. The content discusses his lecture tour, his cordial reception everywhere, and it reads in part, "<I>…Yesterday the head of Colt's Arms Factory sent his automobile for me (I have surrendered to the Automobile) & showed me over his factory. I told them that I had one bullet still in me & four bullet holes made by Colts pistols & that I had a desire to see how they are made…</B></I>" John S. Mosby was a noted Cavalry leader in the Confederate Army, he was known as the "Grey Ghost" because of his ability to disappear and hide from Union troops along with his men.
