B) Late WWII or early postwar assembled P38 using an early zero-series frame with the late war (ac) marked slide. Based on the late wartime demands on the German Army, the Walther factory started substituting early left over production parts into the military contract pistols. The early frame is correctly marked on the right side with only the serial number. The serial number is also stamped on the right front rail in the zero-series commercial manner and on the barrel lug. Right side of slide has a single "Eagle/359" proof along with an eagle firing proof. Ribbed grips, late hammer and magazine with "Eagle/135" proof on spine.
