B) Late WWII or early postwar assembled P38 using an early zero-series frame with the late war (ac) marked slide. The early frame is correctly marked on the right side with only the serial number while the slide has the serial number above a struck "ac45" marking on the left side. The serial number is also stamped on the right front rail in the zero-series commercial manner and on the barrel lug. Right side of slide has two "Eagle/359" proofs along with an eagle firing proof. Importer mark on rear of frame. Ribbed grips and "P.38v" marked magazine. Holster is stamped "jwq/1945" on the back.

Refinished. The pistol retains 97% of the blue finish showing a faint plum patina. The front grip strap has a factory cast flaw. The grips are excellent with some scattered minor handling marks. The holster is very good.

A) "Eagle/359" proofs with the right side of the slide having a firing proof and two "Eagle/359" proofs. Visible serial numbers are matching. Standard "ac/42" slide markings with the barrel lug having the bore dimension, a circled "B" and "3". Ribbed grips and two matching numbered magazines. The "gcx" holster is dated 1942.

Very good. The pistol retains 60% original blue finish with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks. Holster is very good with minor handling marks and overall tight stitching.
