Collector's Lot of Two U.S. M1 Garand Semi-Automatic Rifles -A) Springfield M1 Garand Semi-Automatic Rifle with Bayonet and Sling


A) Manufactured in May of 1945. Standard sights, with a Springfield bolt, hammer, group housing and "6 63" barrel, with a Remington "NM" operating rod. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a boxed "P" on the wrist and "R.R.A.D." on the left side of the buttstock, green canvas sling and a checkered steel buttplate. Also included is an "AFH" bayonet, 14 1/2 inches overall, 9 3/4 inches long, ribbed grip, green painted scabbard.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, showing 95% of the parkerization, with mild wear and handling marks. A number of dents are present on the stock. The bayonet is good, with mild wear. Mechanically excellent.

B) Manufactured in April of 1943. Standard sights with "DRC" windage and "NI-C" elevation knobs. Replaced Springfield "6-43" barrel, bolt, hammer, safety and operating rod, and a Winchester trigger housing. Smooth stock, with a circled "P" on the grip, "RIA/EB" on the left side of the buttstock, and a steel buttplate. With a "U.F.H." bayonet, 14 1/2 inches overall with a 9 3/4 inch blade, ribbed grips and green painted scabbard.
