A) Lock plate is marked "A. WATERS/MILBURY, MS/1837" and breech end of the barrel is stamped "US/LF/P". The stock has two inspector cartouches on the left flat.

Condition: Very good. The pistol has a mottled gray patina with traces of original case colors on the lock plate. There are a few patches of mild pitting. The stock is very good with a hairline crack near the lock and some minor handling marks. The action needs work as the replacement cocked hammer does not release properly when trigger is pulled.
- B) Lock plate is marked "[eagle head]/A. WATERS/MILBURY, MS/1841" and breech end of the barrel is stamped "US/JCS/P". The stock has two inspector cartouches on the left flat.
