A) Stevens Tip Up Single Shot Rifle. Manufactured circa 1870s to 1895. Variation with a forend. Blade and semi-buckhorn sights with two scope blocks on barrel marked with the one line Stevens & Co. address patent date marking. Blue with nickel plated frame, trigger guard, and Swiss style buttplate. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with barrel and trigger guard numbered to gun. Sleeved 22LR barrel.

Condition: Refinished. The barrel retains 95% of the blue finish with some minor thinning and minor muzzle wear with a patch of minor pitting (left flat). The frame, trigger guard, and buttplate retain 97% of the nickel finish with most of the loss on the inside of the trigger guard. The treads on a trigger guard screw are weak. The wood is fine with a crack near the stock toe and some minor handling marks with most of the varnish remaining.

B) Variation without forend. Globe front sight with blade on top and folding ladder rear sight on barrel marked with the one line Stevens & Co. address and patent date information. Blue with nickel plated frame, trigger guard, and crescent buttplate. Smooth straight grip stock with barrel and trigger guard numbered to gun.

Condition: Excellent. The barrel retains 95% original blue finish with some minor thinning with some minor spotting (mostly near the muzzle). The frame, trigger guard, and buttplate retain 85% original nickel finish with some loss on the buttplate and light blistering overall. The stock is fine with some minor dings and scratches with most of the varnish remaining.
