A) Stevens New Model Pocket Rifle with Matching Stock. First issue manufactured from 1872 to 1875. Globe and adjustable notch sights on barrel with the two line Stevens & Co. address/patent date marking on the upper left flat. Has firing pin on the hammer and a semi-circular side plate. Barrel, stock mounting attachment, and both grips are numbered to the gun. Complete with shoulder stock numbered to the gun. The stock has a walnut insert.

Condition: Very good. The barrel retains traces of original blue finish (mostly at the breech) with the balance a mottled brown patina with some very light spotting, and missing front sight bead. The frame retains 90% frosted original nickel finish with light blistering overall. The grips are fine with most of the varnish remaining and numerous minor dings and scratches. The stock retains 80% frosted original nickel finish with some light flaking and blistering. The walnut insert is slightly ill-fitting with some chipping along the edges, a couple minor cracks, and minor handling marks with a couple shallow gouges.

B) Second issue manufactured from 1875 to 1896. Globe and folding ladder rear sights on barrel with the two line Stevens & Co. address/patent date marking on the upper left flat. Has firing pin mounting in frame with a bushing and a semi-circular side plate. Barrel, stock mounting attachment and both nicely figured grips are numbered to the gun. Complete with shoulder stock numbered to the gun.

Condition: Excellent. The barrel retains 95% thinning original blue finish with some minor spotting and some minor muzzle wear. The frame retains 90% original nickel finish with some light flaking and blistering. The grips are excellent with most of the varnish remaining and some minor dings and scratches. The stock retains traces of original nickel plating with the exposed brass having an attractive patina.
