A) Stevens New Model No. 40 1/2 Pocket Rifle with Matching Stock. Manufactured from 1896 to 1915. Lyman dovetail front sight (missing bead), rear sight removed (filler block added), and replacement peep sight mounted on the back strap. Barrel has the two line Stevens A. & T. Co. address marking on the top flat with the caliber marking ("25") over the serial number on the left side of the chamber. Barrel, stock mounting attachment, and grips are numbered to the gun. Complete with nickel plated shoulder stock numbered to gun.

Condition: Fine. The barrel retains 80% original blue finish thinning to a brown with some wear at the muzzle. The frame retains 97% frosted original nickel finish with most of the loss on the back strap. The grips are fine with most of the varnish remaining and some minor dings and scratches with a shallow gauge on the right panel at the top. The stock retains 90% original nickel finish with some minor flaking and some light blistering.

B) Manufactured from 1896 to 1916. Globe front and folding ladder rear sights with a barrel marked with the two line Stevens A. & T. CO. address on the top flat. Barrel and stock attaching mount numbered to the gun. Nickel plated frame with blued trigger guard. Complete with shoulder stock numbered to gun.

Condition: Fine. The barrel and trigger retain 80% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The frame retains 85% original nickel finish with light blistering overall and some minor flaking. The grips are very fine with most of the varnish remaining and some minor handling marks. The stock has a smooth bright gray patina, with polish marks.
