The trigger guard retains 80% original bright blue finish with some flaking and minor spotting. The grips are also excellent with some minor dings and handling marks, and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The box is good with a tear on one lid flap, some separated edges, edge wear and a repair on the box, as well as some stains on the interior. The labels remain intact.

B) Manufactured from 1898 to 1907. Matching serial number on the butt, rear cylinder face, barrel and barrel latch. Pinned front blade and notch rear sights, casehardened trigger, blue trigger guard and checkered hard rubber grips with S&W monogram and faint patent marking on the lower left panel. Stock:
Gauge: 38 S&W

Overall there are some minor scratches and handling marks. The trigger guard retain virtually all of the original bright blue finish and most of the original bright case colors remain on the trigger. Except for a mild drag line (which could be caused by dry firing), the revolver shows no evidence of having been fired. The grips are also excellent, with the exception of the worn patent marking, there are only mild handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings are sharp and clear. The action is tight as new. The box is very good plus.
