Collector's Lot of Two Smith & Wesson Double Action Revolvers -A) New York Engraved Smith & Wesson 32 Double Action Revolver with Pearl Grips and Inscription
Manufactured from 1883 to 1909, this revolver was manufactured circa 1888 and features New York floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the breech and muzzle ends on the barrel sides, barrel lug, cylinder flats and sides of the frame. Between the scroll engraving on the barrel is decorated with a wavy zigzag line and dot design, a smaller version of that design flanks the hammer and there is a floral design on top of the back strap. The back strap has a partial unreadable inscription. The top of the barrel rib is marked with the two line address/patent dates. All of the serial numbers match. A half moon front and notch rear sights, nickel finish, blue trigger guard, casehardened trigger and hammer and fitted with smooth pearl grips.

Very good with 80% of the nickel finish remaining, showing scattered high point wear and minor flaking. The trigger guard has a dark patina with some pitting and minor spotting. 40% original case colors remain on the hammer. The grips are excellent with a couple tiny chips. The engraving and markings are clear. The hammer does not hold a cock position in single action, however functions well in double action.

B) Rare Smith & Wesson 32 Safety Hammerless 2nd Model Bicycle Revolver
Manufactured from 1902 to 1909, this 2nd Model 32 Safety Hammerless revolver is fitted with a rare 2 inch barrel, also called the "Bicycle Gun". The left side of the barrel has the caliber marking flanked by Maltese crosses, the right side of the barrel has the two line address/patent marking and the right side of frame has the S&W trademark. Matching numbers on butt, cylinder, barrel and latch. Blade front and notch rear sights, blue finish with casehardened trigger and fitted with checkered S&W monogram grips with the right panel numbered to the gun.

Fine. The revolver retains 85% plus original blue finish with edge wear and scattered minor flaking. The trigger retains most of the original bright case colors. The grips have faded to brown and remain very good with a few minor nicks and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is fine.
