Very good. The barrel has a smooth mottled gray patina with strong original blue finish which has turned black in the protected areas. The frame retains 25% original faded case colors with a smooth mottled gray patina on the balance. The breech block and hammer have a smooth mottled silver gray and dark patina. The wood is good with 11 notches cut into the left side of the grip and 14 on the right side. There is a moderate chip on the left side toe, some dents on the bottom, a chunk and a couple of sanded gouges on the right upper front of the forearm, and overall some minor dents and scratches. The action needs some work, the hammer is very tight. The markings are clear.
