A) No maker markings with a floral scroll engraving on the frame. Matching numbers on the frame, ring trigger, and barrel cluster screw, with the serial number stamped on the back of the right grip panel in Roman numerals (XII). Fitted with two-piece bag shaped grips.

Condition: Fair. The pepperbox has been cleaned and there is even mild pitting on the barrel cluster with some pitting extending to the frame. The grips are very fine with most of the varnish remaining and a few minor handling marks, along with a couple pressure dents (right panel near the bottom). A percussion nipple is missing and action needs work as the hammer must be manually reset after action is cycled.

B) Manufactured from the late 1830s to the 1850s. Marked "BLUNT & SYMS / NEW YORK" on top of the floral scroll engraved frame. Six-shot barrel cluster and two-piece bag shaped grips.

Condition: Good. The pepperbox has a smooth gray patina with traces of original blue finish in the protected areas of the barrel cluster. The grips are also good with most of the varnish remaining and some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
