A) Made from 1893 to 1935. Late production with 'SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL" barrel marking with the top flat marked with the two line address/patent dates and "30-30". Upper tang has "MODEL 1893" marking and top strap has "MARLIN SAFETY" marking. Blade and semi-buckhorn sights, full length magazine with smooth forearm and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.

Condition: Fine. The barrel and magazine retain 90% plus original blue finish showing some minor thinning. The frame and lever retain 60% original case colors. There is some minor spotting (more prevalent on the frame). The wood is fine with half of the varnish, extensive deep scratches and some minor handling marks, with a small chip missing near the stock toe. Mechanically fine.

B) Introduced in 1922. Beaded dovetail front and buckhorn rear sights. A factory star stamp is present on the upper tang, indicating that the inspector considered this rifle to be a high grade gun. Full length magazine tube and a nicely figured smooth pistol grip stock with checkered hard rubber factory buttplate.

Condition: Very fine. The barrel and magazine retain 60% thinning original blue finish with limited pin point pitting. The frame and lever retain 40% original case colors. The wood is very good with much of the varnish remaining and numerous minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
