Collector's Lot of Two Japanese Type 14 Large Trigger Guard Nambu Semi-Automatic Pistols Both with Two Matching Magazines and a Holster -A) WWII Japanese Type 14 Large Trigger Guard Nambu Pistol


A) Manufactured at the Nagoya Nambu-Kokubunji factory in February 1942, (Showa 17.2). Blue with straw colored trigger and safety. Bolt and trigger are numbered to gun. Large trigger guard, early cocking knob and fitted with ribbed hardwood grips. Complete with two magazines numbered to the gun and rubberized canvas clam shell holster.

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% plus original blue finish thinning to a gray patina. The safety and trigger retain about 40% of the original straw color. The grips are excellent with some minor dings, scratches and pressure marks. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically fine. The holster is very good. The inner pouch flap fastener shows some heavy wear and overall there is some minor wear, and a small piece of the flap edging absent.

B) Manufactured by Nagoya Arsenal in September 1944, (Showa 19.9). The pistol has the late pattern course knurled cocking knob, mahogany grips with 24-serrations and a matching magazine with blue body and pot metal base. The pistol has a bright bolt and salt blue finish on all other components. The right side of the receiver is marked with Nagoya Arsenal, second series symbols followed by the serial number: "58730". Both magazine spines are numbered: "730". Complete with a rubberized canvas clam shell holster.

Excellent. The pistol retains 97% original blue finish with edge wear around the muzzle and high points, thinning on the grip straps, some scattered light spotting and some small areas of corrosion on the barrel. The grips are very good with a few small gouges in the left grip. The late war rubberized holster is very good to excellent with some scuffs on the flap.
