A) Dreyse Model 1879 Reichs Revolver. Marked "F.V. Dreyse/ B/ Sommerda" in an oval on the left side of the frame with the date "1882" on the barrel lug. Matching numbers throughout including the screws with the safety and butt lanyard ring numbered to a different gun. Butt is marked "6.D 3.10". Fitted with smooth grips.

Serial Number: 7923
Condition: Good. The revolver has a mottled brown patina. There is some extensive pitting with deep pitting on the right barrel side. The freshened grips are fine with some minor dings and scratches.

B) Left side of frame is marked "C.S. * C.G.H. / SUHL" (double stamped) with the serial number on barrel, frame and barrel lug, with the partial serial number "38" on most of the small parts, including the screws. Straw colored small parts, checkered grips and lanyard ring on the butt.

Condition: Very fine. The revolver retains 90% plus bright original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. (This has a protective coat of varnish which needs removed.) The small parts retain 60% original straw color. The grips are excellent with a few minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
