This pistol has four Damascus barrels which have rifling towards the muzzle. The frame has a light floral engraving with the barrel selector on the left side (top two barrels only or all four barrels) and a "crown/AF" proof stamped on the right side. The two hammers have a single sliding safety. A floral blossom is engraved on the trigger guard. The one piece grip is checkered with a shell design carved at the frame, a monogrammed silver initial oval and a flared butt with an iron cap. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

Condition:
Fair. The pistol has a smooth bright patina with areas of a protective coating. The barrels show some mild pitting and retain traces of the Damascus pattern. The frame has a crack on the left side. The refinished grip is also fair with heavily worn checkering and some minor handling marks. Right hammer does not hold a full cock position. Left hammer functions fine.

No makers marks or proof marks, appearance English in origin. Frame lightly engraved with patriotic motif, center mounted hammer with sliding safety and fitted with a one-piece checkered grip. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

Good. The metal surfaces have a smooth mottled gray patina. The grip is also good with some moderate wear and a few dings, with overall crisp checkering. The action is fine.
