A) 6-shot unmarked barrel cluster with standard engraving on the frame. Ring trigger and varnished grips.

Condition: Good. The pepperbox has a smooth brown-gray patina with 20% of the bright original high polish blue finish on and around the barrel cluster ribs. The grips are very good with some chipping, a couple minor gouges and some minor handling marks with most of the varnish remaining. Broken percussion nipples and action does not rotate barrel cluster.
- B) Barrel cluster has the 1837 patent date and cast steel markings only. Frame has standard scroll pattern and oval silver inlays are present on both grips (left inlay has "JN" initials). Matching numbers on frame, trigger guard, hammer spring and grips.

Condition: Very good. Traces of original blue finish remain around the ribs otherwise a smooth gray patina. The remaining metal surfaces have a bright appearance. Grips are good as refinished with some minor handling marks. Action needs work as does not always return to the ready position.
