The top strap is marked "THOMAS BLAND & SONS/2 KING WILLIAM STREET/WEST STRAND LONDON" and the right side of the barrel is marked ".455 .760' .6 TONS". The right side of the frame has the trade mark and left side is marked "SERVICE/455/REVOLVER". British proofs are present. Fitted with a checkered one piece grip.

Condition: Good as refinished. The revolver is mostly a smooth artificial brown patina overall. The grips are good with worn checkering and some minor pressure dents. Mechanically fine.

B) The left side of the frame is marked "T. BLAND SELF EXTRACTING ARMY REVOLVER" and the right side is marked "455 GAUGE". The top of the barrel is marked "T. BLAND & SONS, 106 STRAND, LONDON". British proofs are present on the barrel and cylinder flutes. Fitted with a checkered one-piece grip which is stamped "A.M. [heart]" on the back.

Condition: Very good as partially refinished. The revolver retains nearly 20% original blue finish (mostly on the cylinder) with the balance a mottled brown patina with areas of touch-up cold blue. The grip is fine with a few minor blemishes and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically fine.
