Introduced in 1870. Sloping hammer and top of the barrel has the large "-COLT-" marking in italic letters with "41 CAL" on left side of the frame.

Condition:
Fine as refinished. The barrel retains 95% of the blue finish showing speckling of brown. The frame retains most of the nickel plating. The grips are fine with some minor handling marks and some high edge wear. Mechanically fine.
B) Manufacturer: Colt Model: #3 Derringer
Straight hammer and top of the barrel has the large "-COLT-" marking in italic letters. The left panel has been period stamped with the number "53", The grips are numbered to the gun. This pistol does have the early variation "high spur" hammer.

Condition:
Very good. The barrel retains traces of original blue finish with the balance a mottled gray patina showing limited very light pitting. The brass frame has an attractive aged patina. The grips are fine with some minor handling marks and some high edge wear. Mechanically fine.
