A) The left grip tang has a Brescia crown/lion proof and the right side of the trigger guard has a boxed "MA" proof. The left side of the slide has the two line Beretta legend with the date "1943-XX". Matching serial number on slide and frame. Standard metal backed plastic grips with "PB" emblem. Beretta records state that Model 1934 pistols with the AA suffix serial number were produced for the German occupation forces.

Condition: Excellent. The slide retains 97% original blue finish with some scatted minor edge wear. The frame retains 97% blue finish with a faint plum patina and the grip straps thinning to a gray patina. The slightly faded grips are very fine with the exception of a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. A rare Nazi pistol.

B) Beretta Model 1934 Commercial Semi-Automatic Pistol with German Retailer Geco Marking
The left side of the slide is stamped "P. BERETTA-CAL. 9 CORTO-Mo 1934-BREVET. / GARDONE V.T. 1941 XIX". The left grip tang is stamped with 1941dated Italian commercial proofs. The right grip tang is stamped "GECO", the commercial marking for Gustav Genschow & Co., Hamburg, Germany. German officers were required to privately purchase their own side arms. Fitted with standard metal backed plastic grips with "PB" emblem.

Condition: Fine as partially refinished. The slide retains 80% blue finish with the balance a cold blue touched up smooth gray patina with limited pin point pitting. The frame retains 90% blue finish with a smooth brown patina on the grip straps. The moderately worn grips are very good with some minor wear on the right grip panel and some scattered minor scratches.
