A) 36 inch long wooden barrel, trapdoor lock plate marked with the eagle/shield motif and "U.S./SPRINGFIELD", stock marked with the numbers "20" and "58" and "US" marked buttplate.

Very good, incomplete with the wood having a couple hand marked names on the sides of the buttstock and a number of pressure dents. The lower tang is missing the screws.

B) These trapdoor fencing muskets are a non-gun U.S. item that were used by the army in teaching bayonet drills. 43 1/2 inches in overall length with barrel tapped for a rear sight with bayonet lug, "V/P/eagle head/P" on rear left side and "R" on top. Breech block is marked "U.S./MODEL/1873" and lock plate marked with the eagle/shield motif and "U.S./SPRINGFIELD". Stock has an "ESA/1877" cartouche and a circled "P" proof behind the trigger guard.

Very fine with 85% original blue finish and 70% original case colors with a smooth gray patina on the balance. Some minor pitting is present and the lower tang not seated properly. The stock is fine with some surface chipping and some pressure dents.

C) 43 1/2 inches in overall length with barrel tapped for a rear sight and "V/P/eagle head/P" proofs on left rear with "A" on top. Lock plate with eagle/shield motif and "U.S./SPRINGFIELD" and breech block marked "MODEL/1884." The stock has a "SWP/1889" cartouche on the left side and "circled P" stamped behind the trigger guard. The fencing bayonet has a leather cover marked "RIA/1914/H.E.K." and "H.B."
