A) Remington Model 14R Slide Action Carbine. Manufactured in 1918. Equipped with a blade front sight and an adjustable notch rear sight. Has a thumb nail safety and push button safety. 12 groove forearm and smooth straight grip stock with checkered steel buttplate which has the Remington-UMC trademark.

Condition: Very fine. The carbine retains 80% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray-brown patina with extensive slide wear. A coat of varnish has been applied to the wood, otherwise fine with 90% varnish remaining, a hairline crack near the lower tang, and a couple minor pressure dents along with some minor dings and scratches.

B) Manufactured in 1927. Equipped with Marble No. 6 blade front sight and Lyman 1-A tang sight, with the rear barrel sight removed (Marble filler block added). Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with serrated steel buttplate.

Condition: Very good. The rifle retains 60% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina with some minor spotting. The refinished wood is very good with a minor crack on the forearm underside and a couple hairline cracks near the upper tang along with some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
